Zhang Zhiqi was born in Dandong City, Liaoning Province, China in 1980. He studied at the Academy of Arts and Design in Tsinghua University from 1998 to 2002, majoring in visual communication design. Later, he served as a lecture at Beijing Modern Art School from 2002 to 2004. He worked as an advertising designer at Beijing Gehua Sunshine Advertising Co., Ltd from 2004 to 2007. Then, in 2007, he joined the Higher Education Press and began his career in book design. In 2016, he established a book design studio and served as the Art Director. He held his solo book design exhibition in 2021, and became a judge of China’s Most Beautiful Book in the same year. He has been teaching book design courses in Jingren Book Design Workshop since 2017 and has held lectures and taught in various publishing houses and universities across China in recent years.
